Atlantic University Field Hockey Tournament #1
<p>The Atlantic University Field Hockey League’s first tournament of the season was hosted September 22 and 23 in Oromocto, NB by University of New Brunswick. A day tournament was held on September 30 in Halifax, NS by Saint Mary’s University. Field Hockey Sessions in Annapolis Valley
<p>Field Hockey Nova Scotia held introduction sessions in the valley in July through August at St. Mary’s Elementary School in Aylesford and Coldbrook and District School in Coldbrook and Meadowview Community centre in Kentville. Most of our sessions ran for 90 minutes or longer with groups of kids were aged from 8 to 12 years and were mostly very keen to learn. The groups ranged from 11 to 31 kids and to facilitate quality instruction some groups were broken into two by age

Atlantic Cup
<p>The Annual Atlantic Cup Field Hockey Tournament was held this weekend at Dalhousie University Turf in Halifax. The round robin tournament consisted of 6 teams with a final between the top two teams after pool play. The final saw the Halifax Andrews Team defeat the Halifax Privateers 1-0. <p>Field Hockey Nova Scotia hosted the Junior High School Girls Field Hockey Tournament on May 26th, 2018 at Amrbrae Academy. The tournament included Armbrae, Sacred Heart, and Oxford with Oxford winning the JRHS banner. The Championship Team was Citadel High School winning in a shootout after a tie 1-1 in regulation play against Halifax West High School. Nancy Tokaryk Memorial Trust Fund and Golf Tournament
<p>The Nancy Tokaryk Memorial Trust Fund was established to commemorate Nancy’s contribution to the sport of women’s field hockey, her personal leadership and student mentorship, and volunteer community service. Each year a scholarship valued at $1000 is awarded from the trust fund. Each year the Nancy Tokaryk Memorial Golf Tournament is hosted at Lost Creek Golf Course. FHNS Women’s Development Program
<p>Field Hockey Nova Scotia is offering a Women’s Development Program at Saint Mary’s University Turf which open to new players or returning players. This program is targeting players transitioning from indoor to outdoor field hockey.
